I took the plunge and installed SecondLife at the weekend to look at the new GMI/mSurveys Virtual World Survey and also see what was going on.
It was a mostly positive experience and resulted in my avatar earning its first Linden Dollar (thanks very much Mario). The whole idea is pretty interesting.
While moving around the virtual world I noticed that the possibilities exist for making a fairly rich survey experience with a bit of work. In particular some of the gambling machines have a menu system around navigating them (sorry to say that I gambled away my L$ on number 16 of a roulette table).
I think Mario’s done a great job on this and its certainly the first time I’ve ever participated in a virtual world survey so I’m going to keep logging in from time to time and see what’s changed up there.
